How much time should I spend training? What if my work is irregular? Or if I get injured? These are questions that I often encounter. Read brief answers to some frequently asked questions below. If you have more questions, always feel free to send me a message.
You indicate when and how much you want to train and an appropriate schedule will be created. Whether you can and want to train 5 or 20 hours a week, there will never be overcrowded weeks planned for you. There must always be a balance between work, private life and your training.
I sometimes suffer from injuries, how do I deal with them?
Working with a coach is exactly what will help you with your injuries. Personally, I also have a lot of experience with this; before I worked with a coach myself, I was often injured. A coach will make a balanced schedule for you and keep a close eye on whether you are not crossing your limit.
Do I need a power meter or heart rate monitor?
The more data you have about your training sessions, the more specific your training will be. At a minimum, a heart rate monitor is needed so that we can train at heart rate. A power meter on the bike is not necessary, but it is a very valuable addition.
I work irregularly, what is the best way to train?
During the intake, you indicate when you have available time to train, this will be your “basic week”. If you have irregularities in your schedule or, for example, you have to leave for a few days for work, please let us know in time and this will be taken into account in your schedule.
I've never done a triathlon before, is coaching right for me?
Working with a coach is very valuable, especially for beginners; a triathlon is quite a puzzle. From the way there as well as the game day itself, the coach will leave you fully prepared at the start.
I already have a Training peaks account, does that matter?
No, it's nice that you're already used to working with it! You can simply maintain your existing TrainingPeaks account.
